Best Historically Black (HBCU) College Rankings by U.S. News & World Report
The latest rankings of historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) were conducted by U.S. News & World Report, focusing exclusively on comparisons within this group of institutions.
To be included in these rankings, several criteria had to be met. Firstly, the institution must currently hold the designation of an HBCU, as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Additionally, to qualify for the U.S. News rankings, the HBCU college must be an undergraduate baccalaureate-granting institution that primarily enrolls first-year, first-time students.
Furthermore, the institution must also be included in the broader 2024 Best Colleges rankings. This ensures that the HBCUs evaluated are on par with other colleges and universities in terms of their overall academic offerings and student engagement, providing a comprehensive view of their standing among peers.
